From the perspective of two filmmakers, the topic of film creation is used to express the collision and conflict of ideas between two strangers in the story.
The film integrates the real filmmaking process, combining documentary images with stories, telling the story of a girl who meets a strange man on a journey. I used the discussion of the film between the two protagonists as a starting point to show the nature of human beings and the problems that are prevalent in human relationships.
Character
The heroine is 24 years old, she is a film director, with romantic, persistent and firm ideals. She has always stuck to her film dream, hoping to get inspiration on this journey to make a film about "loneliness" by the sea.
However, after her conceptual conflict with the male protagonist, she still determined herself, eager to show "the art of ordinary people" and express herself.
Documentary discussion record
Fragmented documentary images in the whole film, we show the real form in the early stage of creation. I also hope that what I want to express is the true stories and feelings through the combination of documentary images and story images that exist in my heart.
This is also in line with the idea that the heroine of the story said: "Expressing myself is the meaning of my film."I hope that the audience will not view the film from a feature film perspective, but will feel the spiritual core of the whole film from an autobiographical and documentary perspective.
The fourth wall
At the end of the film, the heroine proposes to simulate the shooting scene, and the hero's greeting to the camera breaks the fourth wall between the viewer and the image.
Audiences can better into the real connection between the real world and the virtual story.
In the documentary images of the two directors, the important entry point of "the photographer's glasses are broken" focuses on extending the existence of the fourth wall.
